Our flame retardant Trevira, CS fabrics collection, is inspired by the famous Art Deco buildings of the New York skyline. The sleek linear appearance, geometric ornamentation and the exquisite craftsmanship, rare and expensive materials of structures such as the Rockefeller Center and Chrysler Building combine with decorative and exotic fashion inspiration from the '20s and 30's Jazz Era and the Ballet Russe.
We divide our collection into two distinct groups: the geometric and stylised Art Deco theme and a contrasting constructed and textural story inspired by the rhythm and beat of the textile machinery at the Vanelli weaving mill.
An industrial colour palette contrasts with striking and bold Art Deco hues. The colours, inspired by artist Georgia O'Keeffe's paintings, art deco interiors, jazz posters and black-and-white silent movies, range from graphic greys, ebony, silver, ivory and chrome to teal, gold, mahogany and copper colours.
This Trevira CS collection is a treasury of inspiring fabrics; small and medium-scale geometric chenilles, decorative ornamental jacquards and tactile textures. Charleston-dress inspired elegance alongside constructed grid patterns and references to small-scaled textures in Wall Street bankers' suits.
